Located near the Via Francigena, between Castiglione<\/a> and San Quirico<\/a>, Bagno Vignoni<\/strong> is a small hamlet bathed by thermal waters used since at least the Roman times.<\/p>\n

Presentation<\/h2>\n

The name of the village comes from its castle Vignoni. In the village, Piazza dei Sorgenti (or Piazza del Moretto) has a large rectangular basin of the sixteenth century is fed by thermal waters, bordered by a portico and the small church. This place is the charm of the place. At sunset, water vapors rise and envelop the basin. Unfortunately, swimming in this pool is not allowed.
The waters flow at almost 49\u00b0, attracting lords in the Middle Ages, such as Saint Catherine and Laurent de’ Medici.
Three structures offer baths and thermal treatments.
Nearby, the Park of the Mills<\/strong> is a protected natural area where there are remains of abandoned mills and hot water pools generally open to the public. Further south are the ancient baths used by the Romans, free baths, natural white limestone bathtubs, also open access.<\/p>\n\n\n
