Coastal region north of Massa Carrara, the Cinque Terre<\/strong> are translated in English by the Five Lands<\/em>. It’s located in Liguria, but for their proximity to Tuscany, it is a destination to consider when staying in the region. <\/span><\/p>\n

Presentation<\/h2>\n

The appeal of the Cinque Terre lies in its picturesque charm of typical villages perched on the cliffs, nestled along the rocky coast facing the Ligurian Sea. They have been classified as a World Heritage Site since 1997.
The landscape is rugged, mixing wild nature and agricultural terraces modelled for centuries and descending the slopes towards the sea from the heights. <\/span><\/p>\n

These five villages, from north to south, are Riomaggiore<\/strong>, Manarola<\/strong>, Corniglia<\/strong>, Vernazza<\/strong> and Monterosso al Mare<\/strong>. UNESCO calls them \u00abcultural landscape\u00bb, places that bring together history, picturesque and traditions, especially with local products such as lemon, virgin olive oil, honey, anchovies and wine.
This region has more than 120 km of trails that wind their way through the villages offering breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic coast.
Ideally, you should spend at least one day exploring each village, enjoying the golden sandy beaches and clear waters of the Ligurian Sea.<\/p>\n
